Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Gravy June 4, 2008

Filed under: Entrees — lindsayrose @ 11:02 am

Growing up, we had a different meal pretty much every night.  Of course there were the nights when a lot was going on and we’d have a basic meal like spaghetti or meatloaf, but other than that, every night was something different.  Once we’d had a meal, it was usually months before my Mom would repeat it.

For the most part, that’s how we do it, too.  Since we both love to eat so much and really, truly enjoy our food, we like to try new things and experiment.  There are however, a few recipes that we just have to come back to once a month or so.

This is one of them.

It is so very delicious.  It is a Sandra Lee recipe (from Semi-Homemade Meals on Food Network).  It is very easy to make.  It might not be a June, 90 degree day type of meal, but we’re going to have it tonight anyway.  We’re craving it!  We like it best served with mashed potatoes.  The gravy is way too tasty to not pour over something starchy and delicious.

And for those of you familiar with Sandra Lee’s show, NO, I did not do the tablescape that went along with this meal!
